WHY AND HOW TO JOIN IN THE PROJECT L.E.A.D.?

  • In the city you live in, nothing happens, related to LGBTI people and their rights;
  • In the city in which you live, events are happening, but I strongly feel that you want and you can contribute;
  • You need more information about LGBTI rights movements and initiatives, or you want to share what you know;
  • You want to be part of a strong and supportive community at the national level;

 

Will be selected from 15 – LGBTI activists on two of Blagoevgrad, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv and 3 for Sofia. Requests to participate may be submitted as LGBTI activists who have knowledge and experience, and those who would like to acquire, and are over 18 years old.

WHAT IS L.E.A.D.?

L.E.A.D. is a tool for identifying and bringing together of LGBTI activists of the 6 largest cities in Bulgaria – Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv. The project aims to raise awareness of the movement, the rights of LGBTI LGBTI people and events and LGBTI initiatives in Bulgaria. L.E.A.D. infomiranostta increases and enables the LGBTI activists to initiate and/or to get involved in local communities, LGBTI to be part of the creation of events and initiatives in local communities, such as LGBTI thus live actively change from which they need.

HOW DOES PROJECT L.E.A.D.?

  • Creates a community of 15 LGBTI activists from the country – two of Blagoevgrad, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv and 3-Sofia;
  • Increases awareness of, the rights movement LBGTI events through 2 PCs. physical training (Sofia – the December 2017 and Varna – March 2018, the specific dates to be determined).
  • Helps the development of 6 development plan – one in each of the cities of Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv.
  • Provides for the Organization of events in each of the cities of Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv.

Will be selected from 15 – LGBTI activists on two of Blagoevgrad, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo and Plovdiv and 3 for Sofia. Requests to participate may be submitted as LGBTI activists who have knowledge and experience, and those who would like to acquire, and are over 18 years old.

 

Preference in selecting candidates who benefit are determined by LGBTKI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, TRANS, queer, interseks), as well as those who define themselves as Roma or part of other minorities.

WHO WE ARE AND WHY WE’RE ORGANIZING PROJECT L.E.A.D.?

LGBT youth organization “action” is a non-governmental organization working to improve public acceptance and to combat the negative stereotypes that LGBTI people are facing and that lead to discrimination. We believe that such a change in public opinion and approach to pan-European values can and should happen.

 

Our work is concentrated in the main directions:

  1. View and work with the community;
  2. Cultural program;
  3. Legal and advocacy program;
  4. Sexual health;
  5. LGBTI families, parenting, support

 

Our programs are carried out with the help of numerous volunteers, and with the support of ILGA-Europe, Bulgarian Fund for women, Planet Romeo, the European Commission.
We work in collaboration and with the support of the Foundation and the “voice” (http://glasfoundation.bg/) and Bilitis Resource Center ”

(http://www.bilitis.org/), with which we carry out numerous joint initiatives.
